MKPHA [<XSPEC ascii data file> [<XSPEC format output file>]]
MKRSP [<XSPEC ascii response file> [<XSPEC format output file>]]
MKPHA and MKRSP are programs to read data and response files in the
ASCII format as created by RDPHA and RDRSP respectively, and transform
the files back into XSPEC standard format. RDPHA/MKPHA and RDRSP/MKRSP
provide a tool to transfer PHA and RSP files in ASCII format.
Input file names have default extension l.og. The default extensions for
the output file names are p.ha and r.sp, respectively. Note that we consider
the current ASCII formats as a temporary solution until general FITS formats
for spectral data and response files are available.
