The user-defined additive model (VMS-specific). The user can have his or her own model with up to 20 parameters + norm, but it must be linked with the MKUMD command, and must be defined with the SETUMD command. A set of user models have been pre-linked. These ``official" user models can be accessed using the SETUMD command before running XSPEC.
